About the speakers

Chris Willson, MS, LPC

Regional Director of Clinical Services, Monte Nido & Affiliates

Chris Willson is a licensed professional counselor with over ten years of experience in the treatment of eating disorders and program development. Chris has worked in several clinical settings including outpatient, intensive outpatient, partial hospitalization, residential and inpatient eating disorder treatment. Prior to working at Monte Nido, Chris developed eating disorder treatment centers and programming in the northeast. Chris believes clients can move through recovery to recovered by reconnecting with their healthy selves. Chris utilizes compassion and structure to instill hope and motivation in those struggling to live the life they deserve.

Lara Lohman, LCSW

Assistant Clinical Director, Monte Nido Rainrock

Lara Lohman, LCSW (she, her hers) has worked at Monte Nido RainRock for 3 years and is currently the Assistant Clinical Director. She believes in complete recovery and a person’s ability to choose to heal from their eating disorder. Lara is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) as modalities for working with clients and trauma. Lara is certified in Motivational Interviewing and finds that this is useful in the ambivalence that often is associated with clients struggling to combat an eating disorder. Lara is a member of the International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals (IAEDP) and is a member of the board as the Certification Chair for the Willamette Valley chapter. Lara is a trained Clinical Supervisor for the counseling disciplines of Social Work, Licensed Marriage and Family therapists and Licensed Professional Counselors and engages in individual and group supervision. Lara is a HAES provider and is passionate about helping clinicians and clients grow in their relationships around food, movement and body.
